Browning is 0-4 against Hardin since March of 2019 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Friday. The Browning Indians will take on the Hardin Bulldogs in a holiday battle at 4:30 p.m. at. Both teams come into the match bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Saturday, Browning humbled Butte Central Catholic with a 67-24 victory. With Browning ahead 37-14 at the half, the matchup was all but over already.
Multiple players turned in solid performances to lead Browning to victory, but perhaps none more so than Josey Michael, who scored 17 points along with eight rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Jerel White Grass, who scored 13 points along with seven rebounds and six steals.
Meanwhile, Hardin had to travel to play their first game of the season, but the final result was worth the trip. They walked away with a 54-47 win over Lodge Grass last Tuesday.
The victory makes it two in a row for Browning and bumps their season record up to 2-0. As for Hardin, their victory bumped their record up to 1-0.
Browning suffered a grim 71-47 defeat to Hardin when the teams last played back in March of 2022. Can Browning avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
