The Meadowbrook Colts's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss dating back to last season. Their tough 68-44 loss to West Holmes might stick with them for a while. Meadowbrook was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as West Holmes apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in February of 2017.
Meadowbrook lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Masyn Campbell, who scored 17 points along with five rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of Colton Delancey, who scored 15 points.
Collier Cline was the offensive standout of the match as he scored 15 points along with three steals. Another player making a difference was Nate Fair, who scored 12 points along with four steals.
Meadowbrook bumped their record down to 0-2 with that loss, which was their third straight at home dating back to last season. As for West Holmes, their win ended a four-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 1-1.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Meadowbrook will take on Sheridan at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Sheridan presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Meadowbrook in Ohio (Sheridan is ranked 351st, while Meadowbrook is ranked 766th). As for West Holmes, they will be playing at home against Madison Comprehensive at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
