The Tampa Bay Tech Titans will challenge the Freedom Patriots at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. Tampa Bay Tech has given up an average of 14.8 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.
Freedom will be up against a hot Tampa Bay Tech squad: the team just extended their winning streak to three. Tampa Bay Tech put the hurt on Armwood with a sharp 29-14 win on Tuesday. That 15 run margin sets a new team best for the Titans this season.

Tampa Bay Tech got a massive performance out of Jaida T, who scored six runs and stole a base while getting on base in all six of her plate appearances. T is also on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last three games she's played. Taliyah H was another key player, getting on base in five of her six plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and two doubles.
Tampa Bay Tech always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .745. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .500 or higher in three consecutive matches.
Meanwhile, Freedom lost 19-9 to King on Tuesday. Even though they lost, the Patriots' still made a splash at the plate and bumped their average scoring up to 6.5 runs per game (they're now ranked -1th in scoring overall).
Aubrey Reed was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-4 with one home run and two RBI. Another player making a difference was Dayana Rivas Moya, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI and one double.
This is the second loss in a row for Freedom and nudges their season record down to 1-5. Those losses can't be blamed on the team's hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 7.0 runs over those games. As for Tampa Bay Tech, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.
Freedom's pitching crew has a crucial task ahead of them: Tampa Bay Tech has been making plenty of contact this season, having averaged 14.4 hits per game. It's a different story for Freedom, though, as they've been averaging 13.5 hits. Given Tampa Bay Tech's sizable advantage in that area, Freedom will need to find a way to close that gap.
Tampa Bay Tech took their win against Freedom in their previous meeting back in April of 2023 by a conclusive 18-1. Does Tampa Bay Tech have another victory up their sleeve, or will Freedom turn the tables on them? We'll have the answer soon enough.
