Cooper is 2-8 against Ryle since May of 2022 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Saturday. The Jaguars will venture away from home to face off against the Raiders at 2:00 p.m. Cooper is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 7.5 runs per game this season.
Cooper's pitching crew heads into the game hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Thursday. They came out on top against Notre Dame Academy by a score of 5-0. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Jaguars.
Desiree Mack was a major factor no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, pitching two innings while giving up no earned runs off one hit. Mack was even better at the plate, going a perfect 4-for-4 with two stolen bases, two doubles, and one run. That's the most hits she has posted since back in March of 2025.
In other pitching news, Lily Spraker tossed a big game, not allowing a single earned run over five innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in four consecutive appearances.
Back at the plate, Ainsley Scroggie was excellent, going 1-for-2 with one triple, one run, and one RBI. Taylor Nevels was another key player, getting on base in three of her four plate appearances with one stolen base and one RBI.
Meanwhile, Thursday just wasn't the day for Ryle's offense. They came up short against Highlands on Thursday, falling 10-0. Raiders fans who chose to attend the game sure picked the wrong one: it was the first time the team has lost against the Bluebirds since Thursday.
Cooper's record now sits at 20-10-1. As for Ryle, their defeat dropped their record down to 21-13.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Saturday. Cooper hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.5 home runs per game. However, it's not like Ryle struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 0.6 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down. Check back here after the action for a full breakdown and analysis of the contest.
