Newton Local walked away with a 45-35 victory over Milton-Union on Saturday. This was payback for Newton Local, who suffered a 55-49 defeat the last time these two teams met.
Despite the loss, Milton-Union still got an impressive performance from Wyatt Kimmel, who scored 14 points along with seven rebounds and four steals. Another player making a difference was Titus Copp, who scored ten points along with two steals.
Newton Local pushed their record up to 6-4 with that victory, which was their third straight on the road. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.0 points per game.
