Guntersville is  a perfect 8-0 against Douglas since September of 2015 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Friday. A big part of Guntersville's  victory came down to the chemistry between  Street Smith and his top target  Garrett Christie. Smith rushed for 92 yards and a pair of  scores while  Christie rushed for 132 yards while picking up 8.3 yards per carry. Those  132  rushing yards gave  Christie a new career-high.
 Guntersville was unstoppable on the ground and  finished the game with 229  rushing yards. That's the most  rushing yards they've managed all season.
Meanwhile, Douglas really took it to Brewer for the full four quarters, racking up  a  49-22 win. The  game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached  35-14.
Douglas found their leader in sophomore  Keilan Green, who rushed for 77 yards and one  TD.

 The  victory made it two in a row for Douglas and  bumps their season record up to 5-3. The  wins came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as  they  averaged 42.0 points over those games. As for Guntersville, their record is now 7-1.
 Guntersville took their  victory against Douglas  in their previous matchup  back in October of 2024 by a conclusive  30-6 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Wildcats since the  team won't have the home-field advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
