After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Hereford, Dundalk was happy to have turned things around on Monday. Their pitcher stepped up to hand the Franklin Indians an 11-0 shutout. The Owls might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won six matchups by ten runs or more this season.
Dundalk got a massive performance out of Hayden Wiatrowski, who went 2-for-4 with three RBI, one triple, and one run. Those three RBI gave Wiatrowski a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Kenisha Gelpi, who went 2-for-4 with three runs, one double, and one RBI.
Dundalk's win bumped their record up to 7-3. As for Franklin, they have been struggling recently as they've lost six of their last eight games. That's put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.
