Two dominant signal callers in Koby Wilbanks and Caleb Green are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Ozark Hillbillies will be playing at home against the Lamar Warriors at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are ranked near one another in Arkansas (Ozark is ranked 57th, while Lamar is ranked 77th).
Ozark stacked a eighth blowout onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They were the clear victor by a 56-30 margin over Huntsville. Ozark's offense checked out after the first half but had enough points banked to take the game anyway.
Ozark relied on the efforts of Gavin Gilbreth, who rushed for 132 yards and two touchdowns on only five carries, and Wilbanks, who rushed for 105 yards and two touchdowns. Gilbreth was no stranger to the big play, taking off on a dash that went for 63 yards. Cade Capp was another key contributor, rushing for 79 yards and a touchdown on only six carries.
Meanwhile, last Friday just wasn't the day for Lamar's offense. They were beaten by Central Arkansas Christian 53-0. Lamar's defeat signaled the end of their three-game winning streak.
Ozark's win bumped their season record to 8-2 while Lamar's loss dropped theirs to 7-3.
Ozark strolled past Lamar in their previous meeting back in October of 2021 by a score of 30-14. Will Ozark repeat their success, or does Lamar have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
