If the MaxPreps state rankings hold true, the near future looks bright for Butler. They will challenge Eastern on the road at 7:30 PM on Friday. Butler don't have the home-field advantage, but they do enjoy an advantage in the MaxPreps rankings.
Butler put the finishing touches on their 5th blowout victory of the season last Thursday. They steamrollered Pleasure Ridge Park 58-6. The success made it back-to-back wins for Butler.
Meanwhile, after flying high against Jeffersontown two weeks ago, Eastern came back down to earth. Eastern took a serious blow against Trinity, falling 0-53. Eastern were in a tough position by the half, with the score sitting at 0-34.
Butler's victory lifted them to 6-2 while Eastern's defeat dropped them down to 2-5. We'll find out if Butler can add another positive mark to their record or if Eastern can shake off the defeat and take the spring out of Butler's step.
