The Canton Golden Bears pushed their score all the way to 60 on Monday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell just short of Harrisville by a score of 63-60. Canton was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as Harrisville apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in January.
Harrisville's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Tanner Sullivan, who scored 19 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Joe Shepherd, who scored 17 points.
This is the second loss in a row for Canton and nudges their season record down to 0-2. As for Harrisville, their win bumped their record up to 1-0.
Canton will head out on the road to face off against Franklin Academy at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully Franklin Academy focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 14 on Tuesday.
