Florala entered their tilt with McKenzie on Thursday with two consecutive wins , and they'll enter their next game with three. They walked away with a 6-1 win over the McKenzie Tigers. That's more bragging rights for the Wildcats, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

McKenzie's batters probably weren't too happy with Kennith Dalton Jackson, who pitched a no hitter and racked up nine Ks (he gave up three walks). What's more, Jackson gave up only zero hits, the fewest he's had since back in April of 2024.

At the plate, the team relied heavily on Noah Bryan, who scored a run while going 1-for-3. The team also got some help courtesy of Gage Davis, who scored a run while going 1-for-3.

Florala's victory was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 8-3. The wins came thanks in part to their pitching effort, having only surrendered 1.0 run on average over those games. As for McKenzie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-7.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. A feisty cat fight will be fought as Florala Wildcats face off against Opp Bobcats at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for McKenzie, they will take on Pleasant Home at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. McKenzie is facing Pleasant Home at the right time seeing as Pleasant Home is stuck on an eight-game losing streak.
