The Callisburg Wildcats's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Tuesday after their sixth straight loss. They were dealt a 65-15 defeat at the hands of Paradise. Callisburg has not had much luck with Paradise recently, as the team's come up short the last five times they've met.
Paradise can attribute much of their success to Rylee Nichols, who dropped a double-double on 16 points and ten rebounds. Those 16 points set a new season-high mark for her. Another player making a difference was Gazey Yates, who scored 11 points along with six steals.
Callisburg's loss was their seventh straight on the road, which bumped their record down to 2-13. That rough patch could be blamed on the team's offensive performance across that stretch, as they only averaged 25.3 points per game. As for Paradise, they have been performing well recently as they've won 12 of their last 15 matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record this season.
Callisburg will be playing in front of their home fans against Ponder at 6:15 p.m. on Friday. As for Paradise, they will head out on the road to face off against Pilot Point at 11:00 a.m. on Friday.
