The Hilltop Cadets will head out on the road to take on the Tinora Rams at 5:00 p.m. on Monday. Hilltop is strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 13.5 runs per game this season.
Hilltop was handed a heart-breaking two-run defeat in their last match, but they sure didn't let that happen against Gorham Fayette on Thursday. The Cadets put the hurt on the Eagles with a sharp 30-0 win. Considering the Cadets have won ten contests by more than six runs this season, Thursday's blowout was nothing new.

Giada Rising made a splash while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, keeping things locked down with no earned runs or hits while striking out 11 over four innings pitched. She has been nothing but reliable: she hasn't given up more than two walks in six consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, getting on base in all five of her plate appearances with five runs and two RBI. Those five runs gave her a new career-high.
In other batting news, Hilltop got a massive performance out of Sophia Crossgrove, who got on base in five of her six plate appearances with six RBI, three runs, and one stolen base. Kelsy Connolly was another key player, getting on base in all six of her plate appearances with four runs and four RBI.
Hilltop was getting hits left and right and finished the game having posted a batting average of .455. They are a perfect 10-0 when they post a batting average of .375 or better.
Meanwhile, Tinora was not able to break out of their rough patch on Friday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 8-2 to Paulding.
Madison Spangler made the most of her time at bat despite the final result and went 2-for-3 with one stolen base, two RBI, and one double. That double was her first of the season.
Tinora now has a losing record of 4-5. As for Hilltop, their record now sits at 11-2.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Monday. Hilltop hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 1 home runs per game. However, it's not like Tinora struggles in that department as they've been averaging an even more impressive 1 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Hilltop couldn't quite get it done against Tinora in their previous matchup back in April of 2024 as they fell 4-0. Can the Cadets avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
