Baseball Game Preview: Lone Peak Knights vs. Skyridge Falcons

For the second straight game, Lone Peak will face off against Skyridge. The Knights will welcome the Falcons at 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday.

On Tuesday, Lone Peak needed a bit of extra time to put away Skyridge. They came out on top against the Falcons by a score of 10-7. The victory was a breath of fresh air for the Knights as it put an end to their three-game losing streak.

Landon Fry made a big impact while hitting and pitching. On the mound, he pitched one inning while giving up no earned runs or hits. He also tossed no earned runs, which is notable because Lone Peak is undefeated when he allows at most two earned runs, but 4-7 otherwise. Fry was also solid in the batter's box, scoring two runs while going 2-for-5.

In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Luke Christensen, who scored a run while going 2-for-4. Another player making a difference was Andrew Ladd, who scored a run while getting on base in three of his five plate appearances.

Lone Peak's win was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-3 and their overall record up to 7-7. As for Skyridge, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 7-6.
