Cambridge had won five straight games and Macy Robinson did her part to make it six on Monday. The Bluejays narrowly escaped with a victory as the squad sidled past the Poynette Pumas 50-47 with plenty of help from Robinson, who dropped a double-double with 17 points and 18 rebounds. Her big performance that evening made it three games in a row in which she has scored at least 17 points.

Tara Bettenhausen was another key player, almost dropping a double-double with nine points and 11 boards. With that strong performance, she is now averaging an impressive 8.3 rebounds per game.

Cambridge's record is now 6-1. As for Poynette, their defeat dropped their record down to 1-5.

Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Cambridge will venture away from home to challenge Deerfield at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday. As for Poynette, they will head out to take on Belleville at 7:15 p.m. on Friday. The Pumas are facing the Wildcats at the right time seeing as the Wildcats are stuck on a four-game losing streak.
