The Mt. Carmel Sundevils will square off against the Sage Creek Bobcats at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Mt. Carmel is coming into the game hot, having won their last five games.
Mt. Carmel's pitching crew heads into the contest hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Tuesday. They blew past El Camino 6-0. Considering the Sundevils have won five matchups by more than five runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
The result came thanks to Chloe Millard's shutout, as she gave up just a hit and racked up nine Ks. She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in eight consecutive appearances.

At the plate, Kaili Martha was incredible, going 2-for-4 with three RBI, two doubles, and one run. Those two doubles gave her a new career-high. The team also got some help courtesy of Naya Leuck, who got on base in three of her four plate appearances with two runs and one double.
Meanwhile, there's no place like home for Sage Creek, who bounced back after a loss on the road last Tuesday. They walked away with a 4-0 win over Steele Canyon on Friday.
Kassidy King made a big impact no matter where she played. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run while striking out nine over seven innings pitched. King was also big at the plate, going 1-for-3 with one run and one RBI.
King wasn't the only one making solid contact as five players wound up with at least one hit. One of them was Kaimana Coleman, who went 1-for-4 with two RBI and one double.
Sage Creek hit smart and finished the game with only one strikeout. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Steele Canyon struck out nine times.
Mt. Carmel's victory bumped their record up to 8-4-1. As for Sage Creek, they now have a winning record of 8-7.
Fans could be in store for some top-tier slugging on Wednesday. Mt. Carmel hasn't had any problems when it comes to power this season, having averaged 0.7 home runs per game. However, it's not like Sage Creek struggles in that department as they've been averaging 0.4 home runs. With so much power on both teams, it'll be down to the pitchers to keep the mound locked down.
Mt. Carmel couldn't quite get it done against Sage Creek in their previous matchup back in May of 2025 as they fell 4-0. Will the Sundevils have more luck at home instead of on the road? Come back here after the game to get an analysis of the match and other softball content.
