The Hudson Cobras took care of business in their home opener on Monday (and then some). They took their game at home with ease, bagging a 55-18 victory over Central. That result was just more of the same for these two, as Hudson also won the last time the pair played back in January.
Hudson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Veronica Uhrig out in front who scored 9 points along with 6 rebounds and 3 steals. Grace Rutherford was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with 3 steals.
Despite the loss, Central saw an underclassman step up: Leilani White scored 10 points.
Perhaps unsurprisingly given the score, Central struggled to work together and finished the game with only a assist. They were crushed by their opponents in that department as Hudson racked up 12.
Hudson's win bumped their record up to 1-0. As for Central, their loss dropped their record down to 0-1.
Hudson will be playing in front of their home fans against Hernando at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. As for Central, they will head out on the road to face off against Lecanto at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
