The King Prep Rams will head out on the road to face off against the Booker T. Washington Warriors at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Hopefully King Prep focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up ten on Monday.
Even though King Prep has not done well against Raleigh-Egypt recently (they were 0-4 in their previous four matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way. King Prep strolled past Raleigh-Egypt with points to spare, taking the game 50-32. The win made it back-to-back wins for King Prep.
King Prep's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Terranisha Washington-Moore, who dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. That makes it two consecutive games in which Washington-Moore has scored at least 25% of King Prep's points. The team also got some help courtesy of Aniyah Brown, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and 12 rebounds.
Meanwhile, Booker T. Washington was the victim of a tough 60-39 defeat at the hands of Melrose on Tuesday.
Booker T. Washington's defeat came about despite a quality game from Jamyia Bullins, who scored 13 points along with 3 steals. Another player making a difference was Antaniya Britt, who scored 7 points along with 3 steals.
King Prep's win lifted them to 2-0 while Raleigh-Egypt's loss dropped them down to 2-3.
King Prep suffered a grim 53-32 defeat to Booker T. Washington when the teams last played back in February of 2022. Can King Prep avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
