The Lemoore Tigers waltzed into their game Saturday with two straight wins but they left with three. They secured a 73-68 W over Atwater. Having run the score up that high, both teams probably have some extra defensive drills coming up.
Lemoore had a senior duo take command as Kaden Lopes scored 24 points along with six rebounds and three steals and Kobe Green scored 23 points. That makes it eight consecutive games in which Lopes has scored at least 25% of Lemoore's points. Micah Fox was another key contributor, scoring seven points along with three steals.
Lemoore has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won nine of their last ten matchups, which provided a massive bump to their 11-6 record this season. As for Atwater, they are on a four-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Lemoore will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Tulare Union at 7:15 p.m. on January 10th. Tulare Union will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps California Rankings (they are ranked 808th, while Lemoore is ranked 373rd). Atwater is on the road again on Wednesday and play against Buhach Colony at 7:15 p.m. on January 3rd.
