The Terrell Academy Eagles''s recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Friday after their third straight loss. They received a tough blow as they fell 52-37 to Brookwood. This was one game where the offenses had no trouble playing at a high level.
When it comes to explaining why Terrell Academy lost, one person who can't be blamed is Quindon Wright. Despite the final result, he rushed for 354 yards and four touchdowns while picking up 19.7 yards per carry. Wright's longest rush was for an incredible 99 yards.
Brookwood got their victory on the backs of several key players, but it was TJ Thomas out in front who rushed for 168 yards and three touchdowns while picking up 8.8 yards per carry. The team also got some help courtesy of Rex Schofill, who picked up 164 receiving yards and four touchdowns.
Terrell Academy's loss dropped their record down to 6-3. As for Brookwood, the victory was the fourth in a row for them, bringing their record for this year to 6-3.
Terrell Academy will head out on the road to face off against Tiftarea Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Brookwood, they will be playing in front of their home fans against Valwood at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Valwood's favor is that they have now posted big point totals in their last four matches.
