In what's become a running theme this season, the Grafton Clippers gave their fans yet another huge victory on Thursday. They claimed a resounding 69-29 victory over Bruton at home. Winning may never get old, but Grafton sure is getting used to it with their sixth in a row.
Grafton's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Alonni Wells, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 11 assists. Wells is absolutely dominating the steal category: she's posted at least two every time she's taken the court this season. The team also got some help courtesy of Taylor Ragland, who dropped a double-double on 19 points and ten rebounds.
Grafton's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 13-1. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 62.5 points per game. As for Bruton, their loss dropped their record down to 6-8.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Grafton will face off against Tabb at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Tabb is coming into the matchup on a five-game losing streak. As for Bruton, they will head out on the road to face off against New Kent at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
