The Glen Lake Lakers scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Suttons Bay 70-23 on the road. For those curious, yes, that was the biggest victory Glen Lake has managed all season.
Eleanor Valkner was her usual excellent self, dropping a double-double on 23 points and 23 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points she has scored all season. Hailey Anderson was another key contributor, scoring 17 points along with five steals.
Glen Lake has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won six of their last seven matches, which provided a nice bump to their 8-3 record this season. As for Suttons Bay, they are on a six-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 1-8.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glen Lake will be staying on the road on Wednesday to face off against St. Mary at 7:00 p.m. on January 24th. As for Suttons Bay, they will square off against Brethren at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. Brethren presents a significant challenge as they come into the match much higher ranked than Suttons Bay in Michigan (Brethren is ranked 173rd, while Suttons Bay is ranked 556th).
