The Binger-Oney Bobcats won the last time they faced the Carnegie Wildcats, and things went their way on Tuesday too. Binger-Oney came out on top against the Wildcats by a score of 50-38. Given Binger-Oney's advantage in MaxPreps' Oklahoma basketball rankings (they are ranked 102nd, while the Wildcats are ranked 220th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Carnegie's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Paden Jackson, who scored 15 points. The team also got some help courtesy of Eddie Mandrell, who scored four points along with 11 rebounds.
Binger-Oney's victory bumped their record up to 18-3. As for Carnegie, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 13-8.
Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Binger-Oney will take on the Chieftains at TBD on Saturday. As for Carnegie, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against the. Olustee/Eldorado is no doubt hoping to put an end to an eight-game streak of away losses.
