The New Life Christian Academy Knights scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. In a tight contest that could have gone either way, they made off with a 63-62 victory over CenterPoint Christian Academy. The win was nothing new for New Life Christian Academy as they're now sitting on three straight.
Jeremy Boillat and Gabe Blakenship certainly did their best on Friday to avoid the loss. Boillat scored 34 points along with six rebounds and four steals, while Blakenship dropped a double-double on 17 points and 13 rebounds. Boillat is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 17 or more in the last eight games he's played.
New Life Christian Academy's victory bumped their record up to 3-1. As for CenterPoint Christian Academy, they dropped their record down to 4-6 with that loss, which was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. New Life Christian Academy will square off against the Crusaders at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for CenterPoint Christian Academy, they will head out on the road to challenge the Tartars at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Michigan School for the Deaf comes in still looking for their first win of the season.
