Atchison and Wyandotte played the most contested game in Kansas City-Atchison this week, with Atchison eventually emerging with a 51-48 victory. Tanner Huntington threw for 147 yards and 2 touchdowns in the win.
Washington took down Harmon 38-6 last week, the largest margin of any game. Jaevon Williams ran for 174 yards during the win.
Leonard Green made the biggest impact on defense this week as Sumner Academy fell to Schlagle. The 5-foot-8 sophomore.
Dimonic Mckinzy put up the best numbers in passing as the Bulldogs lost to the Redmen. He finished with 20 completions for 284 yards.
Wyandotte's Mckinzy and Stephen Ford have formed a dream team this season, leading the league in both passing and receiving yards. Mckinzy has thrown for 1,077 yards this season, while Ford, a 5-foot-10 receiver, has 10 catches for 300 yards. Williams from the Wildcats leads the league in rushing with 569 yards.
Two of the top teams in the league will go toe-to-toe this week when Eddie Brown's team takes on the Stallions. The Bulldogs' offense has recorded 146 points this season, making them No. 1 in the league, while Schlagle has permitted only 58 on the year.
An important game coming up in Kansas City-Atchison this week will be when Wyandotte takes on Tim Dorian's team. As it stands, the Bulldogs are in first, while the Stallions are in third.
