Ketchikan scored a shocking upset when it eliminated Thunder Mountain, 41-14. At the time, the Falcons were ranked 24th in the state, while the Kings were 26th.
North Pole added to the longest winning streak in Southeast this week by beating West Valley, 28-13. The win marks fourth in a row for the the Patriots.
Ketchikan's offense cannot be tamed this season and the Kings feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Connor Hicks has thrown for 48 yards this season, while Connor Hicks has 2 catches for 18 yards. Hicks also leads the league in rushing with 1,145 yards.
The marquee game in the league this week will be the clash between Thunder Mountain and Juneau-Douglas. William byouer's team comes into the matchup ranked 25th in the state, while the Crimson Bears ranks third.
Ketchikan was able to crack the Top 25 in the state rankings this week after besting the Falcons. Lester Silva's team came in at 23 in the state poll after placing at number 26 last week.
