The Chilton Pirates and the Mart Panthers squared off in some playoff action on Friday, but sadly the Chilton Pirates had to settle for second. They took a hard 38-24 fall against the Panthers. Chilton's defeat signaled the end of their six-game winning streak.
Chilton's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Isaiah Redd, who threw for 313 yards and two touchdowns while picking up 12.0 yards per attempt. Isaac Redd also helped out as he racked up 149 receiving yards.
Mart got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was De'Montrel Medlock out in front who rushed for 123 yards and a touchdown, and also threw for 180 yards and a touchdown on only 11 passes. Jd Bell also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Chilton's loss dropped their record down to 13-2. As for Mart, the win for they keeps them at an undefeated 15-0.
Chilton does not have any more games scheduled as of now. Mart will take on Albany at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday. Albany is looking to tack on another W to their six-game streak on the road.
