Two dominant  guards in  Lia Carter and  Shaniya Paylor are getting ready to go toe-to-toe. The Jordan-Matthews Jets will head out on the road to  take on  the Southeast Alamance Stallions at 6:00  p.m.  on Monday. Jordan-Matthews is no doubt hoping to put an end to  a five-game streak of away losses.
 Jordan-Matthews has not done well against Graham recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way  on Friday. Jordan-Matthews came out on top against Graham by a score of  46-35. The  victory was just what Jordan-Matthews needed coming off of a  63-8 loss in their prior  matchup.
 Jordan-Matthews' success was spearheaded by the efforts of   Cassidy Graves, who  scored nine points along with eight  rebounds, and   Reagan Smith, who  scored eight points along with 20  rebounds and two  steals. It was the first time this season that  Graves  pulled down eight or more  rebounds. The team also got some help courtesy of  Carter, who  scored 12 points along with six  rebounds.
 In what's become a running theme this season, Southeast Alamance gave their fans yet another huge  victory on Friday. They breezed by Cummings on the road  to the tune of  58-18. Given Southeast Alamance's advantage  in MaxPreps' North Carolina basketball rankings  (they are ranked 104th, while Cummings is ranked 522nd), the result  wasn't entirely unexpected.
 It was another big night for  Paylor, who  almost  dropped  a double-double on 22 points and nine  rebounds. Another player making a difference was  Natalie Lopez, who  scored 15 points along with six  rebounds and six  steals.
 Jordan-Matthews' record now sits at 9-15. As for Southeast Alamance, they are  on a roll lately: they've  won four of their last five contests,  which provided a nice bump to their 18-6 record  this season.
This contest  is one where the number of possessions is likely to be a big factor:  Jordan-Matthews  have been smashing the glass this season,  having  averaged 30.2  rebounds per game. However, it's not like Southeast Alamance struggles in that department as   they've been averaging 29.5  rebounds per game.
