There's no place like home for Ottawa, who bounced back after a loss on the road on Saturday. They had just enough and edged out the Pontiac Indians 2-1 on Tuesday. This was payback for the Pirates, who suffered a 2-1 loss the last time these two teams met.

Ottawa had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next two. The final score came out to 17-25, 25-13, 27-25.

Belle Markey paced Ottawa's offense, picking up 13 kills. Markey got some help from Jordyn Allen and her 22 assists. Allen was also solid from the service line: she led the team with six aces.

Ottawa's record is now 3-5-2. As for Pontiac, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 7-3.

Coming up, Ottawa will be taking part in a tournament against Genoa-Kingston at 9:00 a.m. on Saturday. As for Pontiac, they have already played their next match, a 2-1 victory against Prairie Central on the 11th.
