Softball Recap: Viewmont Wins Going Away Against Northridge

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Box Elder, Viewmont was happy to have turned things around on Wednesday. They blew past the Northridge Knights 10-2. The result was nothing new for the Vikings, who have now won six matches by seven runs or more so far this season.

London Dickerson was a major factor no matter where she played. She didn't allow a single earned run while striking out eight over seven innings pitched. Dickerson was also stellar in the batter's box, going 3-for-4 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

In other batting news, Marlee Moser was incredible, going a perfect 3-for-3 with one home run and two RBI. That home run marked the first that she has launched this season. Another player making a difference was Ricki Smith, who went 1-for-3 with one home run and two RBI.

Viewmont kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 11 hits. They are 5-2 when they post 11 or more hits.

Viewmont's victory ended a three-game drought at home and bumped them up to 7-10. As for Northridge, they are on a five-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 5-11.

Viewmont has already played their next game, a 7-6 win against Bonneville on the 24th. As for Northridge, they will welcome Logan at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday.
