Jefferson County extended their losing streak to five on Tuesday, dropping them down to 2-10. They came up short against the Wakulla Christian School Saints, falling 12-4. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Saints this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 8-5 back in February.
Jefferson County saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Tre Scott, who went 1-for-3 with two stolen bases and one run.
As for Wakulla Christian School, they moved to 4-6 with that victory, which also ended their four-game losing streak. Considering they have won three matchups by more than seven runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.
On Wakulla Christian School's side, Jay Brown was a major factor no matter where he played. He didn't allow a single earned run and allowed only two hits while striking out 15 over 6.2 innings pitched. Those 15 strikeouts gave Brown a new career-high. He was also big at the plate, getting on base in three of his five plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. He is on a roll when it comes to stolen bases, as he's now snagged two or more in each of the last three games he's played.
In other batting news, the team relied heavily on Blaise Foulks, who went 3-for-4 with three RBI, two runs, and one double. That's the most RBI he has posted since back in February of 2025. Another player making a difference was Trevor Andrews, who got on base in four of his five plate appearances with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.
Jefferson County wasted no time getting back out on the field and has already played their next contest, an 18-5 win against Godby on the 12th. As for Wakulla Christian School, they have also already played their next game, a 17-11 defeat against Altha on the 12th.
