After losing to the Charter Oak Chargers the last time they met, the Wilson Wildcats decided to demonstrate that turnabout is fair play. Wilson snuck past Charter Oak with a 59-54 win on Wednesday. The victory made it back-to-back wins for Wilson.
Wilson got their win on the backs of several key players, but it was Justin Kayode out in front who scored 18 points along with 6 rebounds and 4 steals. That makes it nine consecutive games in which Kayode has scored at least 25% of Wilson's points. Another player making a difference was Tyler Wong, who scored 14 points along with 5 rebounds.
Wilson is on a roll lately: they've won three of their last four matches, which provided a nice bump to their 5-6 record this season. As for Charter Oak, their defeat dropped their record down to 4-4.
Wilson's road trip will continue as they head out to face Claremont at 4:30 p.m. on December 7th. Hopefully Claremont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 11 on Tuesday. Charter Oak won't have much time to rest: their next match is against Jurupa Valley at 6:00 p.m. on December 7th. Jurupa Valley is coming into the match on a three-game losing streak.
