The Moundridge Wildcats stacked a tenth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They blew past Trinity 72-46. Given Moundridge's advantage in MaxPreps' Kansas basketball rankings (they are ranked 16th, while Trinity is ranked 145th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Moundridge's victory was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Bear Moddelmog, who scored 17 points along with two steals. Moddelmog hasn't dropped below 15 points for three straight games. The team also got some help courtesy of Kaizer Kanitz, who scored 13 points along with three steals.
Moundridge is on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups, which provided a nice bump to their 13-3 record this season. As for Trinity, their loss was their fourth straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 9-10.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Moundridge will face off against Sedgwick at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Moundridge has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 257 points over their last four contests. As for Trinity, they will head out on the road to challenge Marion at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
