The Bellwood-Antis Blue Devils's recent rough patch got a bit rougher on Thursday after their seventh straight loss. They fell just short of Clearfield by a score of 49-46.
Despite the loss, Bellwood-Antis still got an impressive performance from Chance Schreier, who scored 14 points along with five rebounds. Schreier continues to roll, besting his previous point total in each of the last three games he's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Kole Dickinson, who scored ten points along with five rebounds and three steals.
Bellwood-Antis' defeat dropped their record down to 2-9. As for Clearfield, the victory makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-9.
Bellwood-Antis won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Juniata Valley at 7:15 p.m. on January 12th. Juniata Valley has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 874 points over their last 12 matches. As for Clearfield, they will head out on the road to face off against West Branch at 7:15 p.m. on Monday.
