There's no place like home for the Pennsauken Indians, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Monday. They came out on top against Atlantic City by a score of 60-53 on Wednesday.
Several Vikings players turned in solid performances, despite ultimately coming up short. Perhaps the best among those players was Taison Parker, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 13 rebounds. Parker is on a roll when it comes to rebounds, as she's now pulled down eight or more in the last five games she's played. Bridget Roach was another key contributor, scoring 12 points along with seven rebounds and four steals.
Even though they lost, Atlantic City smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 21 offensive rebounds. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.
Pennsauken has been performing well recently as they've won six of their last eight contests, which provided a nice bump to their 8-6 record this season. As for Atlantic City, their defeat was their third straight on the road, which dropped their record down to 2-11.
Pennsauken won't have much time to rest: their next contest is against Pennsauken Tech at 3:45 p.m. on January 25th. As for Atlantic City, they will be playing at home against Absegami at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Absegami is coming into the contest on a four-game losing streak.
