Despite the loss, Fayette had strong showings from Kaleb Friebe, who scored 12 points, and Tristan Swanson, who scored five points along with three steals and two blocks. It was the first time this season that Swanson posted two or more blocks.
Westran's win was the result of several impressive offensive performances. One of the most notable came from Brady Hollmann, who scored ten points along with six rebounds and three steals. Another player making a difference was Treydence Chapman, who scored 11 points along with five rebounds.
Fayette's loss was their eighth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 2-15. As for Westran, their win bumped their record up to 13-6.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Fayette won't have much time to rest: their next matchup is against the Thunderbirds at 7:30 p.m. on January 31st. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Missouri (North Callaway is ranked 488th, while the Falcons are ranked 513th).
