The Turlock Bulldogs pushed their score all the way to 55 on Tuesday, but even that wasn't enough to win. They fell 66-55 to Riverbank.
Turlock's loss shouldn't obscure the performances of Dutch Lawrence, who scored 20 points along with five rebounds, and Andrew Johnson who dropped a double-double on 14 points and ten rebounds. The match was Johnson's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Another player making a difference was Izaak Saenz, who scored five points along with five rebounds.
Rolando Bazan was his usual excellent self, scoring 22 points for Riverbank. Those 22 points set a new season-high mark for him. The team also got some help courtesy of Erick Jimenez, who scored 14 points.
Turlock's defeat dropped their record down to 4-3. As for Riverbank, their victory bumped their record up to 6-4.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Turlock will face off against El Capitan at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Riverbank, they will head out on the road to face off against Oakdale at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Oakdale will be looking to extend their current three-game winning streak.
