The Pikesville Panthers stacked a sixth blowout win onto their ever-increasing hoard on Friday. They really took it to Chesapeake for the full four quarters, racking up a 65-30 win on the road. The victory was familiar territory for Pikesville who now have four in a row.
Pikesville's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Mariah Jones-Bey, who scored 11 points along with five assists. KA'nai Pyatt was another key contributor, scoring ten points along with five assists and two steals.
Pikesville pushed their record up to 9-2 with that victory, which was their 14th straight on the road dating back to last season. They've been dominating during the matches in that stretch too, as they've won by an average of 32.71 points. As for Chesapeake, they now have a losing record at 4-5.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Pikesville will take on Eastern Tech at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Eastern Tech will have to bring their A-game into this one, as they are staring down a pretty big deficit in the MaxPreps Maryland Rankings (they are ranked 175th, while Pikesville is ranked 21st). As for Chesapeake, they will look to defend their home court on Wednesday against Catonsville at 5:30 p.m.
