The Woodlan Warriors were the 48-36 winner over the Eastside Blazers when they last played one another back in November of 2022, but their luck changed this time around. Woodlan took a hard 68-51 fall against Eastside on Tuesday. Woodlan has now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Woodlan's defeat came despite a true team effort from the offense, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Brooke Kneubuhler, who scored 17 points along with 8 assists and 6 steals. Kneubuhler scored a full 33.3% of Woodlan's points, the second time in a row she's earned more than a third of the team's points. Another player making a difference was Alyssa Anderson, who dropped a double-double on 12 points and 14 rebounds.
Woodlan's defeat dropped their record down to 4-2. As for Eastside, their win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 6-1.
Woodlan will take on Hicksville at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday. Hopefully Hicksville focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 19 on Saturday. As for Eastside, they will head out on the road to face off against Garrett at 7:30 p.m. on Saturday.
