North Hollywood has enjoyed the comforts of home their last three games, but now they'll head out on the road. They will square off against the Arleta Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Monday. North Hollywood will be strutting in after a victory while Arleta will be coming in after a defeat.
North Hollywood scored the most points they've had all season to find success on Friday. They took their match at home with ease, bagging a 84-23 win over Chavez. The contest was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 47-12.
Among those leading the charge was Darell Cervantes, who scored 17 points. Another player making a difference was Jordan Sales, who scored 13 points.
Meanwhile, Arleta lost a heartbreaker to Poly when they met back in January of 2023, and they left with a heavy heart again on Friday. Arleta fell to Poly 52-48. Arleta has not had much luck with Poly recently, as the team's come up short the last two times they've met.
North Hollywood's win bumped their record up to 8-15. As for Arleta, they bumped their record down to 11-8 with that defeat, which was their third straight on the road.
North Hollywood and Arleta were neck-and-neck in their previous matchup back in December of 2023, but North Hollywood came up empty-handed after a 51-50 defeat. Can North Hollywood avenge their loss or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
