It's hard to turn regular season success into postseason wins, a fact the McDonogh 35 Roneagles can now relate to. They were dealt a 57-21 defeat at the hands of the Knights on Friday. McDonogh 35's defeat signaled the end of their four-game winning streak.
Jujuan Johnson was his usual excellent self, rushing for 151 yards and three touchdowns on only 14 carries, while also throwing for 163 yards and three touchdowns for Lafayette Christian Academy. Johnson hasn't dropped below three passing touchdowns for four straight games. Treanders Marzell also deserves a shout-out for his two touchdowns.
Lafayette Christian Academy's defense stepped up as well, laying out the QB seven times. It was a group effort, with three picking up two apiece.
McDonogh 35's loss dropped their record down to 7-4. As for Lafayette Christian Academy, they have been performing incredibly well recently as they've won seven of their last eight matches, which provided a nice bump to their 10-2 record this season.
