There's no place like home for the Salmen Spartans, who bounced back after a tough loss on the road last Tuesday. They came out on top in a nail-biter against Loranger on Thursday and snuck past 45-43. This was payback for Salmen, who suffered a 79-53 defeat the last time these two teams met.
It was another big night for Destiny Bennett, who dropped a double-double on 20 points and ten rebounds. Akayla Mcmooain was another key contributor, scoring nine points along with five rebounds.
Salmen's win was their fourth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-13. Those victories were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 58.3 points per game. As for Loranger, their loss dropped their record down to 6-15.
Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Salmen will square off against the Panthers at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for Loranger, they will head out on the road to square off against the Hawks at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Archbishop Hannan is coming into the contest hot, having won their last four games.
