After some red-hot offensive attacks in their last four games, The McMahon Senators finally came back down to earth on Friday. They suffered a rough 31-6 loss at the hands of Wilton. The defeat unfortunately continues a disappointing trend for McMahon in their matchups with Wilton: they've now lost seven in a row.
Eamon Boyle threw for 83 yards on five of 14 attempts. Jahiem Daniels was his top target, rushing for 27 yards.
Among those leading the charge was Peter Reyes, who rushed for 172 yards and a touchdown while picking up 9.6 yards per carry, and also caught a touchdown. Reyes' longest rush was for an incredible 73 yards. The team also got some help courtesy of Joey Hagerty, who threw for 138 yards and two touchdowns.
McMahon's defeat dropped their record down to 4-4. As for Wilton, the win makes it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 6-2.
McMahon will head out on the road to face off against New Canaan at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. New Canaan will be looking to extend their current six-game winning streak. As for Wilton, they will be playing at home against Ludlowe at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Ludlowe is also coming in off of a big victory, so somebody is in for a big reversal of fortune.
