They enjoyed a cozy 32-18 win over Riverwood. Given Dunwoody's advantage in MaxPreps' Georgia football rankings (they are ranked 121st, while Riverwood is ranked 274th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.
Riverwood's lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being Jackson Davis, who threw for 247 yards and three touchdowns. Devyn Gipson was another key contributor, picking up 70 receiving yards and two touchdowns.
Dunwoody's victory was their third straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 8-1. Those good results were due in large part to their offensive dominance across that stretch, as they averaged 29.0 points per game. As for Riverwood, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 3-6.
Both teams will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Dunwoody will challenge North Atlanta at 8:00 p.m. on November 3rd. As for Riverwood, they will head out on the road to face off against Marist at 7:30 p.m. on November 3rd.
