Yreka and the Cubs are an even 5-5 against one another since January of 2020, but not for long. The Yreka Miners will be staying on the road on Tuesday to face off against the Anderson Cubs at 7:30 p.m. on February 6th. Given that both teams suffered a loss in their last game, they both have a little extra motivation heading into this matchup.
Last Wednesday, Yreka suffered a tough 72-48 defeat at the hands of the Eagles. Yreka was in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 46-23.
Meanwhile, Anderson was beaten by the Eagles 82-52 on Friday. Anderson has struggled against the Eagles recently, as their contest on Friday was their seventh consecutive lost matchup.
Yreka's defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 9-16. As for Anderson, they have not been sharp recently as the team's lost 13 of their last 16 matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 7-18 record this season.
Yreka strolled past the Cubs in their previous meeting back in January by a score of 58-42. The rematch might be a little tougher for Yreka since the squad won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
