Longmont is 1-6 against the Wizards since December of 2014 but they'll have a chance to close the gap a little bit on Thursday. The Longmont Trojans will be playing at home against the Windsor Wizards at 5:30 p.m. Hopefully Longmont focused on turnovers this week since the team gave up 35 on Saturday.
Longmont struggled with assists on Saturday (the Mavericks had 12 more) and sadly the final score reflected it. Longmont took a serious blow against the Mavericks, falling 47-11. Longmont has not had much luck with the Mavericks recently, as the team's come up short the last eight times they've met.
Savannah Pohl was Longmont's leading scorer, having posted five points.
Stella Rulon held things down on the boards with eight rebounds.
In what's become a running theme this season, Windsor gave their fans yet another huge win on Saturday. They simply couldn't be stopped as they easily beat Greeley Central 61-29 at home. The game was pretty much decided by the half, when the score had already reached 24-4.
Longmont's loss dropped their record down to 10-7. As for Windsor, they have been performing well recently as they've won seven of their last nine games, which provided a nice bump to their 10-7 record this season.
Longmont took a serious blow against the Wizards when the teams last played back in January, falling 52-21. The match was all but decided by halftime, at which point Longmont was down 32-6.
