Softball Recap: Glades Day Extends Road Winning Streak to Seven

Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Glades Day). They were the clear victor by a 31-17 margin over the Lake Worth Trojans on Monday. The result was nothing new for the Gators, who have now won six matches by 13 runs or more so far this season.

Glades Day got a massive performance out of Sydney Poole, who scored five runs and stole Five bases. while going 3-for-5. Another player making a difference was Reilly Baltazar, who scored four runs and stole Four bases. while going 3-for-5.

Poole wasn't the only one working in the hit department: Glades Day kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 21 hits. That's the most hits they've managed all season.

Glades Day's victory was their seventh straight on the road dating back to last season, which pushed their record up to 7-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.9 runs over those games. As for Lake Worth, their defeat dropped their record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Glades Day will get to enjoy the win for a while: their next game is against Morningside Academy at 3:00 p.m. on April 7th. As for Lake Worth, they will face off against Royal Palm Beach at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Lake Worth knows how to get runs on the board -- the team has finished with ten runs or more in their past three contests -- so hopefully Royal Palm Beach likes a good challenge.
