Softball Recap: Leakey Has No Trouble Against Medina

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against SA S, Leakey was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. They were the clear victors by a 13-0 margin over the Medina Bobcats. The result was nothing new for the Eagles, who have now won ten matchups by seven runs or more so far this season.

Kourtney Rodriguez was a standout: she got on base in three of her four plate appearances with one home run, four RBI, and two runs. Those four RBI gave her a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Kaylee Preece, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Leakey hit smart and finished the game with only two strikeouts. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Medina struck out 13 times.

Leakey's record is now 13-10-1. As for Medina, their defeat dropped their record down to 6-5.

Looking ahead, Leakey will be playing at home against D'Hanis at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Medina, they will head out to face off against Menard at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Medina is facing Menard at the right time seeing as Menard is stuck on a four-game losing streak.
