The Lorain Titans will head out to square off against the South Rebels at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday. One thing working in Lorain's favor is that they have posted at least ten runs in their last eight contests.
Lorain's pitching crew heads into the matchup hoping to repeat the dominance they displayed on Friday. They blew past Maple Heights 21-0. The Titans haven't had any issues with the Mustangs recently, as the game was their fifth consecutive victory against them.

Olivia Charlton made a big impact while hitting and pitching. She looked comfortable on the mound, not allowing a single earned run and allowing only one hit while striking out 12 over five innings pitched. Those 12 strikeouts gave her a new career-high. She was also stellar in the batter's box, going a perfect 4-for-4 with one home run, four runs, and three RBI. She is on a roll when it comes to hits, as she's now got three or more in each of the last four games she's played.
In other batting news, Alonna Coleman was a standout: she got on base in all four of her plate appearances with two stolen bases, three runs, and one triple. She has been hot recently, having posted two or more stolen bases the last three times she's played. The team also got some help courtesy of Alysandria Lighty, who went 2-for-3 with one home run, two stolen bases, and three runs.
Lorain always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .676. That was just more of the same: they've now posted an OBP of .581 or higher in 11 consecutive games.
Meanwhile, South came into Tuesday's contest having lost three straight, but that streak is now in the rearview. Everything went their way against Geneva on Tuesday as they made off with a 6-0 win.
South got a massive performance out of Summer Bliss (Lake Erie College), who went 2-for-3 with one home run, three RBI, and two runs. Casey Heil was another key player, going 2-for-3 with three RBI, one triple, and one run.
Lorain's victory was their sixth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 12-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 19.3 runs over those games. As for South, their record is now 7-10-1.
South's hitters will have their work cut out for them on Wednesday. Lorain has been retiring batters left and right this season, having averaged 6.8 strikeouts per game. It's a different story for South, though, as they've been averaging only 3.2 strikeouts. Will Lorain keep running through batters, or will the Rebels buck the trend?
