The Altoona Mountain Lions will be playing at home against the Cumberland Valley Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. Both teams come into the matchup bolstered by wins in their previous matches.
Last Friday, Altoona was able to grind out a solid win over Carlisle, taking the game 28-19. The victory was just what Altoona needed coming off of a 48-14 loss in their prior game.
Among those leading the charge was Bron Mosley, who rushed for 162 yards and three touchdowns.
Another reason for the win was Altoona's imposing defense, which managed to get into the backfield for three sacks. Leading the way was Logan Wukovich and his two sacks.
Meanwhile, Cumberland Valley entered their tilt with State College with three consecutive wins but they'll enter their next game with four. Cumberland Valley came out on top against State College by a score of 17-10 on Friday.
Altoona's win bumped their record up to 4-5. As for Cumberland Valley, their win was their fourth straight at home, bumping their overall record up to 5-4.
Altoona took a serious blow against Cumberland Valley when the teams last played back in October of 2022, falling 37-6. Will Altoona have more luck at home instead of on the road?
